John Bowden
There is no plan! it's a "game of chance," layer on layer of different choices, different paths, having no idea how it ends.
I want to create with no order!
John Bowden embarked on their creative journey in the early 90s, studying fashion design at Art college in England. His education laid a strong foundation in aesthetics, color theory, and the interplay of textures, which would later influence their unique artistic style.
Artistic Influences: Deeply inspired by the emotive power of Mark Rothko’s color fields, the raw intensity of Francis Bacon’s figures, and the abstract dynamism of Gerhard Richter’s works.
The early 90s rave culture, with its pulsating beats and vibrant energy, also left an indelible mark on his creative process.
His work is characterized by blurred, chaotic imagery that defies conventional order. This approach reflects their fascination with the transient and often disordered nature of human experience. Their pieces often evoke a sense of movement and emotion, drawing viewers into a visceral, almost dreamlike state.
